keep ivory where it belongs! These beautiful carvings have the look and
feel of ivory, but they are actually carved from a giant nut harvested from
the rainforest in Ecuador. The nuts are harvested by the Comuna Rio Santiago-Cayapas
people, and through the efforts of Conservation International, the local
people are able to make a living from the forest as well as act as its protectors.
It doesn't take much to prove that keeping the rainforests alive and well
can be in everyones best interest.
